The 350Z cupholder is a known weak point, which is a polite way of saying Nissan put a sprung plastic mechanism in a sports car interior and it did not survive contact with daily use.
It sits in the armrest assembly, and the armrest is the part Nissan will sell you. The holder itself is not a separate line item, so a failed cupholder becomes a conversation about replacing a considerably larger piece of trim.
