Replacing a dash vent is one of the most approachable interior jobs there is — usually no special tools and under an hour. Here’s the general approach (always check a model-specific guide for your car).
What you’ll need
A plastic trim removal tool, patience, and your replacement vent. The trim tool matters — metal screwdrivers scratch and crack surrounding trim.
The steps
Gently release the surrounding trim bezel, disconnect the old vent from its clips, and note how it was seated. Press the new vent into the same clip points until it locks in, then reinstall the bezel. Work slowly on cold plastic — warm trim flexes more easily.
Fitment notes
Our vents are dimensioned to reuse the factory clip points, and we include fitment notes where they help. More on fitment in our FAQ.
