The plastic slider clip inside the window regulator on MK4 through MK6 Golf and Jetta.
This is the one that drops your window into the door. The clip is what connects the glass to the cable-driven carrier, and when it snaps the glass simply falls — usually with a noise, usually somewhere inconvenient, and always leaving the car unsecured until you get the door card off and wedge it up.
Volkswagen’s part is the complete regulator assembly, cables and motor included, because the clip is not catalogued separately. That turns a broken piece of plastic into one of the more expensive small repairs on the car.
Fitment: Golf and Jetta MK4 through MK6, 2000s–2010s. Front and rear doors use different sliders and there were running changes across the generations — tell us the model, year and which door, and note whether the regulator has already been replaced with an aftermarket unit.
