Toyota Entune Head Unit Knurled Knob

The knurled volume and tuning knob from the Entune head unit. It is a press-fit cap over a splined shaft, and it works loose long before anything electrical fails.

Once it starts slipping you lose the tactile detent that makes the knob worth having — you turn it and the volume does not follow. Toyota treats the knob as part of the head unit, which puts the replacement cost somewhere absurd relative to a plastic cap.

Fitment: Entune-equipped Toyota models through the 2010s. Entune shipped in several generations with different faceplates — send a photo of the head unit or tell us the exact model and year, since the knurl pattern and shaft spline both changed.
