The bonnet prop rod clip for the NA Miata. Same job as the Honda item — holding the stay against the underside of the bonnet — but a different part, and worth listing separately because MK1 owners search for it by name.
On a car this age the original clip has usually perished rather than snapped. The plastic loses its spring, the rod works its way out on its own, and you find it swinging free the next time you open the bonnet.
Fitment: Miata NA, 1989–1997. Confirm the rod diameter if your car has had a bonnet or stay replaced at some point — secondhand parts from later cars are common on these.
