A replacement gear knob for Volkswagen manual transmissions.
VW is the odd one out among the makes we cover. Rather than threading onto the lever, many Volkswagen knobs push on and are held by an internal clip, with the gaiter clipped into the knob’s base as one unit. Removal involves pulling hard enough that most people assume they are about to break something, which is roughly correct.
Because the knob and gaiter come as an assembly, a worn knob has traditionally meant buying both.
Fitment: Volkswagen manual transmissions. Confirm whether your knob is threaded or push-fit before ordering, and tell us the model and year. The two mounting types are not interchangeable in either direction.
