OEM A2038301642 — the small gear inside the A/C vent flap actuator motor on the W203 and W211.
The gear strips its teeth. What you notice is a repetitive clicking from behind the dashboard as the motor tries to drive a flap that no longer moves, and air that comes out of the wrong vents regardless of what you select. Owners frequently mistake it for a failing blower or a control module fault.
Mercedes supplies the actuator motor complete. The motor is fine; the electronics are fine; a nylon gear the size of a shirt button has lost three teeth.
Fitment: W203 and W211, 2000–2009. Cross-check against the OEM number rather than the model, since the same actuator family appears elsewhere in the range. Several flap positions use the same gear, so tell us how many you need.
