The ring that clamps the shift boot to the transmission tunnel. It cracks — the stock item is thin and it spends its life being levered against every time the boot is pulled up for a gearbox job or a short-shifter install.
Worth being direct about something here. Printed versions of this part already circulate in the Miata community, and most of them are weak in the same place the original was: the mounting ears split under clamping load. That is a design problem rather than a printing problem, and it is the specific thing worth fixing rather than copying.
Fitment: NA and NB, 1990–2005. The retainer geometry carried across both generations, but if you have an aftermarket boot the ear spacing may not match — measure before ordering.
