Ford F-150 Door Lock Knob

The door lock knob for the F-150.

On a work truck this is a genuinely high-cycle part. The doors get opened and locked far more often than on a passenger car, frequently with gloves on, and the knob takes a sideways knock every time something bulky comes across the seat. The threaded collar strips and the knob is gone.

Ford has built more F-150s than almost any other vehicle on the road, which makes it strange how hard a single lock knob is to buy. The volume is in the mechanism, not the trim piece on top of it.
