Interior parts for the third-generation F-body — Camaro, Firebird and Trans Am.
GM built these to a price and the interiors showed it when new. Forty years later the plastics have gone the way that 1980s GM plastics go: chalky, shrunken and cracked along every moulded edge, in cars whose mechanical parts are still perfectly serviceable.
The market has not caught up either. First- and second-generation F-bodies are well supplied by the reproduction trade; the third generation sits below the threshold where tooling a replacement makes commercial sense, which leaves owners with breakers and printing.
Fitment: Camaro, Firebird and Trans Am, 1982–1992. The 1985 and 1990 revisions both changed interior detail, and IROC-Z and GTA trims differ again. Tell us the car, the year and the piece.
