Audi discontinued both, and unlike most parts in this catalogue there is no expensive-but-available alternative to weigh up. The dealer answer is that the part does not exist. What circulates instead are STL files, traded between owners, which is the situation this business was built for.
The latch itself is a simple sprung catch. Its failure mode is a broken tang that leaves the compartment lid flapping against the bulkhead at every bump — audible from the driver’s seat and impossible to ignore once noticed.
Fitment: TT Mk1 (8N), 1998–2006. The two part numbers are handed — 035 and 036 are not interchangeable. Tell us which side, or order the pair; most cars needing one will shortly need the other.
