The shifter surround and cup from the SW20 MR2 centre console.
The original is brittle and cracks at the corners of the aperture, which is why this part has been modelled and re-modelled so many times in the enthusiast community — each attempt trying to get closer to the factory shape than the last.
The mid-engined layout is what makes it matter. In an MR2 the console is directly beside your hip and permanently in view; there is no long dashboard drawing the eye away from it. A cracked surround is the first thing you see getting in.
Fitment: MR2 SW20, 1990–1999. Five revisions were built across that run and the console changed detail more than once. Tell us the year and whether the car is Japanese-market or export — the differences are subtle and matter here.
