The interior door pull bracket for the CR-V, which cracks behind the armrest trim.
Two failures arrive together on these. The bracket carrying the pull handle splits, so the handle flexes and eventually pulls away from the door card, and separately the soft-touch coating on the armrest itself starts peeling. Owners usually notice the peeling first and then discover the bracket has gone while investigating.
The bracket is structural in the sense that it takes the load of a person closing a heavy door. Once cracked, it will not recover.
Fitment: CR-V, 2007–2016. Front and rear doors use different brackets, and there were changes at the 2012 facelift. Specify door, side and year. If the armrest trim is also peeling, mention it — that is a separate piece and worth doing at the same time.
