A replacement shift knob for Subaru manual gearboxes.
The complication on these is the reverse lockout. Six-speed Subarus use a lift collar that has to be actuated through the knob, so the knob is not simply a cap on a threaded rod — it carries part of the mechanism. Five-speed cars are straightforward by comparison.
Get this wrong and you end up with a knob that fits and a car that will not select reverse.
Fitment: Subaru manual transmissions. Tell us five-speed or six-speed, and confirm your thread size before ordering — that combination determines whether you need the lockout-compatible version.
