Working vehicles get their interiors opened up far more often than cars do — racking installed, shelving moved, wiring run for a new fitout, panels off and on repeatedly through several owners and several uses. Each cycle costs a few clips.
The result is that a van with two hundred thousand miles on it usually has panels held on by whatever was to hand, and a set of proper retainers is the difference between trim that sits flat and trim that rattles.
