How We Reverse-Engineer a Discontinued Part

Turning a broken, discontinued part into a reliable reproduction is more than pressing print. Here’s the process behind every part in our catalog.

1. Reference and measure

We start from an original part or detailed OEM references, measuring critical dimensions: clip locations, louver spacing, mounting geometry, and overall fit.

2. Model

Those measurements become a CAD model. This is where we rebuild worn or missing features back to their intended shape rather than copying the damage.

3. Prototype and test-fit

We print a prototype and test-fit it against the vehicle, adjusting tolerances until it seats and clips like the factory part.

4. Finish and release

Once it fits, we dial in the material and finish, then add it to the catalog. See what’s available now.
