A delete plate that closes off the shift boot aperture on the GD Impreza console.
This is fitted rather than repaired. Owners running an aftermarket short shifter, a solid shifter bushing, or a bare metal lever often want the boot gone entirely — either because it interferes, or because the point of the modification is to feel the linkage rather than have it wrapped in vinyl.
What is left behind is an untidy rectangular hole in the console. The plate closes it properly instead.
Fitment: Impreza WRX and STI (GD), 2005–2007. Five- and six-speed consoles differ around the aperture. Tell us your gearbox and the diameter of the shifter shaft you are running, since the plate has to clear it.
