The adjuster tab on the dash vent louvre of the eighth-generation Civic, and on the eleventh generation which repeated the design.
The tab is the small paddle you nudge to aim the air. It snaps off at the louvre, usually in your hand, usually on a hot day when you were pointing it at yourself with slightly more force than the plastic wanted.
Honda’s parts catalogue lists the vent register — the entire moulded assembly out of the dashboard — and nothing smaller. The louvre it belongs to is fine. The register is fine. One paddle has gone.
Fitment: Civic 2006–2011, and the eleventh generation which uses a comparable design. Centre and outboard registers differ, and the two generations are not identical despite the similarity. Send a photo of the vent alongside the year.
