Toyota’s remedy is the complete console. Not the tab, not the insert — the console. For a part that exists to stop a coffee cup tipping over, which is why Tacoma owners have been printing these for each other for years rather than paying for the assembly.
The design fails at a predictable point: the tab is thin where it meets the pivot because it has to flex, and flexing plastic thousands of times has exactly one outcome.
Fitment: Tacoma 2005–2015, and the same tab appears in Camry consoles of the period. Toyota revised the console partway through the run, so check the tab profile against the photos — the two versions look close but the pivot spacing differs.
